RESOLVED is an artificial intelligence research and product company for the legal domain. Our goal is radical: We are creating a machine that performs up to 90% of the legal work of a large law firm—with the quality and reliability of experienced top-tier lawyers.
While AI capabilities in the legal domain have advanced, key gaps remain. The legal AI community’s understanding of frontier AI systems lags behind rapidly advancing capabilities. As a result, existing AI applications for the legal industry remain highly unreliable when tasked with solving non-standard or fact-specific cases. In addition, these systems typically address only isolated fragments of a client’s overall legal problem, producing incomplete solutions. As a result, despite large law firms and legal departments investing heavily in legal AI products, yet overall legal costs remain largely unchanged. Delivery times have not meaningfully decreased, nor has quality significantly improved. To bridge these gaps, we are building RESOLVED to make legal AI a primary problem-solver rather than a background productivity tool.
Resolving legal problems with AI is our mission, our name, and our entire product roadmap. It is our sole focus. Our team, our business model, and our values are all aligned to achieve our radical goal.
We believe that we’ll most effectively advance the capabilities of AI in the legal field by collaborating with the wider community of researchers and builders. We plan to regularly publish technical blog posts, papers, and code. We think sharing our work will not only benefit the public, but also improve our own research culture.
We are a world-class group of scientists, lawyers, engineers, and builders and a spin-off of the Technical University Munich and its Deep Tech Hub TUM Venture Labs—one of Europe’s strongest AI ecosystems.
We are assembling a lean, high-caliber team of the world’s best engineers and researchers, dedicated exclusively to solving legal problems with AI.
If that’s you, we offer the opportunity to do your life’s work and help democratize access to top-tier legal advice.
